Weekly Recommendations #1

We love sharing the music with our friends and family, and we thought everyone else might feel the same. So, here are some of our favorite albums that you just might find yourself listening to all weekend long.

Jeff Buckley - Grace

Many people regard "Grace" to be the best album of all time. Jeff Buckley's unique, raspy voice and inspired lyrics are a beautiful combination and truly magical on vinyl.

This album is one of the most influential and popular rock albums in recent history. It exemplifies the unique voice of Jeff Buckley, who tragically died decades before his potential was truly realized. The album received critical acclaim and appreciation from other musicians (among them Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney).

Prince - 1999

Prince was known not just as a great artist but also as a masterful showman, and he drew from the many years of performing live to craft this album. As Rolling Stone wrote “1999 is Prince’s most overblown and overrated album…but it’s still overwhelming.”

Pixies - Doolittle

Doolittle is the second album by American alternative rock band Pixies, released in 1989. The record found them achieving a stronger pop sensibility than their previous records and it achieved great commercial success in the United Kingdom where it debuted at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart, reaching number 3 the following week. It spent 14 weeks in the Top 75 and was certified gold. Two singles were released from the album: "Here Comes Your Man" and "Monkey Gone to Heaven".

Jack White - Fear of the Dawn

Jack White's Fear of the Dawn is one of the most expansive and evocative works to date from one of our greatest artists. Featuring ten studio-quality songs, this album is an intimate reminder of Jack's lifelong love affair with music.

Toro y Moi - Mahal

On his latest release, Toro y Moi takes listeners on an epic journey through a diverse musical landscape. Each song on Mahal weaves together an intricate tapestry of rich soundscapes, with wide melodies that pull you in and hypnotic rhythms to keep you there.

We have a feeling you're going to love this album. We are obsessed with it, and we know you will be as well.
